Beijing, September 27, 2024 – At the 2024 World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC), Volkswagen Group China is presenting five electric models of Volkswagen and Audi brand, including ID. 3, ID. 7 VIZZION, ID. UNYX, Audi Q4 e-tron, and Audi Q5 e-tron, as well as VGC’s comprehensive charging and energy solutions. Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG, Fermín Soneira, CEO of the Audi and SAIC Cooperation Project, and Frank Han, CEO of CARIAD China, spoke at the conference, sharing the latest developments of Volkswagen Group in China in terms of strategy, products, and software research and development. Volkswagen Group China and the brands have been consistently showcasing its latest NEV and ICV advancement at WNEVC since its inception in 2019, signifying the Group’s steadfast commitment to accelerating the transformation in China.
As the global automotive industry undergoes rapid transformation, China has emerged as a frontrunner in innovation. With "In China, for China" strategy, the Volkswagen Group is actively driving of the transformation of the Chinese automotive industry by strengthening local R&D and expanding the NEV portfolio. By 2030, Volkswagen Group in China will offer more than 30 BEVs that are tailored to the needs of the Chinese customers. Meanwhile, the Group is transforming its strong ICE fleet into NEVs through hybridization.

The ID.UNYX is Volkswagen’s first smart electric coupe SUV in China and a statement of modern lifestyle. The golden Volkswagen logo underscores its uniqueness, while cutting-edge technologies like the driver-centric smart cockpit, AI-supported 3D avatar deliver an immersive intelligent experience.
As a compact pure-electric vehicle, the stylish and dynamic ID.3 boasts precise and smooth driving experiences, thanks to its advanced rear-wheel-drive electric system and ultra-small turning radius of 4.7 meters.
The ID.7 VIZZION, the first B-Class e-sedan of the ID. family, balances aesthetics with functionality through the aerodynamic design and intelligent features such as AR HUD and a smart SkyView panoramic sunroof to meet diverse user needs.
The Audi Q4 e-tron is a premium fully electric SUV produced by FAW-Audi based on the MEB platform. It boasts innovative design, intelligent technology, and outstanding performance thanks to the electric quattro system, with a range of up to 605 km.
The Audi Q5 e-tron, produced by SAIC-Audi based on the MEB platform. Thanks to 6/7 seating concept, digital virtual cockpit, and Audi Pro driving assists package, it is an ideal choice of full electric mobility for family.
‘40 Years Volkswagen in China, Never Stop’ – Volkswagen Group celebrates its 40th Anniversary in China. At WNEVC, VGC is showcasing the core installation of the 40 years campaign – the “Iconic Sofa”. Its ever-evolving dynamic form embodies the relentless “Never Stop” spirit of the Volkswagen Group.
The holographic demonstration onsite showcases VGC’s charging solutions as well as energy services in three scenarios—home charging, public charging, destination charging. As of August 2024, CAMS, VGC’s joint venture for charging service, has established 1,621 supercharging stations and deployed over 13,000 charging terminals across 213 cities in China.
