TOP 3 Employer for Third Time in a Row - Volkswagen Group China recognized as China Top Employer for Tenth Consecutive Year

Beijing, January 19, 2024. Volkswagen Group China has been certified as a China Top Employer for the tenth consecutive year and named one of the Top 3 Performers for a third successive year. The Group was among more than 100 certified China Top Employers featured in a list of ‘2024 China Top Employers’, released on January 18. The award reflects not only the company’s outstanding accomplishments in the electrification and digitalization era, but also underscores the Group’s people-centric focus and continued efforts in attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining talents.

Despite challenges and uncertainties in 2023, the Group has outperformed the entry criteria in all six HR domains and exceeded the basic standards in all 255 questions of the HR Best Practices Survey, covering topics such as human resources strategy, organizational structure, HR digitalization and sustainable talent development. As a global leader in the mobility industry, the Group remains steadfast in its commitment to its employees during the worldwide e-mobility revolution. It proactively provides future-oriented support, resources, and development opportunities for employees, to nurture high-quality professionals and accelerate the organization’s transformation towards digitalization and electrification.

The Group has introduced more digitalization and agility into its HR working systems to enable it to react more quickly to the changing requirements in working styles and formats. This includes the SuccessFactors online and mobile application system for all HR functions, which provides smarter, and more efficient HR self-service features to team members. HR digitalization work runs through the entire employee life cycle, greatly improving efficiency and providing convenient services for employees to enhance their experience. 

Diversity and inclusion are core Group values. In 2023, the Group initiated a diverse series of activities to foster an internal culture of transformation, greatly enhancing employee engagement and participation in internal initiatives. Over the past three years, the proportion of local employees and female employees in management positions has continuously increased, with the career development of women in the workplace actively promoted.
